"Box of light" a research project for improving photography teaching and curriculum
From 2015 to 2016 I was a research assistant of a project that researched the effectiveness in pinhole analog DIY projects as a didactic resource for photography classes. The project explored the importance of analog photography as an entrance to photography technique and the visual language. I helped with the development of toolkits and guides to teach photography in the university, and to develop classes in schools and colleges as part of community projects. All the material is universally accessible. The project also produced an archive of the last 4 years of the class, and a syllabus that integrates art history, material workshops, semiotics and object design.
